Sarah Avril Strachan
Welcome to my site! I’m a yoga & mindfulness teacher with a passion for sharing transformative lifestyle skills rooted in releasing body & mind stress, finding presence and discovering more self-love.
I have practiced Vinyasa Yoga for many years. Exploring expressive movement has helped me soothe tension/anxiety and shape a physical, mental and emotional health management system. For me, practicing yoga helps in gently opening up body, expanding heart & making space in mind.
Through my classes, I hope to explore and share these gateways with others.

What’s here?
I currently offer 2 classes per week on an honesty donation basis but do subscribe to receive the Zoom links either way and come to your first class for a free trial to see what it’s all about. I email the Zoom & Spotify links every Sunday evening for the schedule week ahead.
Visit the ‘Online Classes’ page for more information about the open community class schedule and donation buttons.
In support of everyone during the pandemic I will offer these honesty classes until April 2021 at which time I will introduce a booking & payment system, so this really is a great time to begin a new practice and explore yoga with me whist we all have the time and space to practice regularly at home.
If you have lost your job, work for the NHS or are unable to work right now, please come to any classes for free until April. We’re in this together.
Take a look at my Private Classes page if you are interested in booking a private tailored 121, household, small group or corporate class.
What can I expect?
I guide a variety of flowing Vinyasa & dreamy Yin classes to suit most students including gentle slow-flow, dynamic sequences and guided mindfulness sessions. A different approach / theme each week.
Classes are exploitative movement sessions inspired by traditional Vinyasa & Yin yoga practices. I weave breath work & meditation techniques throughout for greater inner connection, stress relief and energy boosting/relaxation.
My approach to teaching is inclusive, everyone is welcome! – I teach authentically, so for me this means you will be encouraged to enjoy exploration & personalise your practice, want to spend 60 mins asleep today? Go ahead! 🙂 It’s your class and your body.
Have more questions or concerns about beginning a practice with me?
If you are a beginner, injured, pregnant, nervous, wobbly or anything else, you can still practice! Just turn up early to talk about it or drop me a note in the private chat in class and we’ll make it work. You’ll be absolutely fine.
See you on the mat soon.
